Informal and Adult Education
The Pincus Fund does not believe that Jewish education should be confined to the classroom. Therefore, approximately one-fifth of the Fund’s allocations have supported projects in Informal and Adult Education. These projects have developed a rich variety of programs.
Pincus Fund projects support the revival of Jewish life in small communities, through a wide variety of initiatives: learning centers for high school students and young adults; educational centers providing Jewish Studies in small Jewish communities; family educational programs; Jewish Studies classes and Shabbatonim. The Fund has supported Limmud-type seminars and conferences. It has established Zionist Batei Midrash throughout the world, operated by hesder yeshiva graduates from Israel, under the direction of a Rosh Yeshiva. Pincus Fund projects serve Jewish students through establishment of new student centers; through programs implemented by local community organizations; and through activities of student organizations.
